Garden Spotlight: Ixora
Ixora area a typical plant in the Florida landscape and for a good reason.
The plants possess leathery leaves, ranging from 3 to 6 inches in length. The Ixora produce massive clusters of tiny flowers that bloom year-round thanks to our tropical climate. Flowers are most often found in a coral-pink color. Red, orange, goldenrod and sometimes pale green flowers are not uncommon either. A single flower cluster can last for 6 to eight weeks.
HAPPY NEW YEAR! ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT GETTING IN SHAPE? WE SURE ARE!

Did you know that January and February are the best time to prune trees in South Florida? This is the dormant period in the tree’s growth cycle. Therefore, it’s less stressful and the best time for pruning. Because trees do not have to multi-task and split energy between healing and growing, you’ll have more lush and vibrant foliage.
